W e l f a r e Manager of the Irish Greyhound Board,
I'm not a social romanticism woman, but I appreciate the company of a good dog - all dogs are good dogs as long as they are appreciated and treated well! So, concerning the greyhounds, you really don't know what a treasure you hold in your hands - keep it safe! I'm not really young anymore and a lot of dogs went through my hands. But really none of them - all adorable of course - was so gentle, soft, calm and content with so little, like the greyhounds I got to know - all of them so-called ex-racers. They just want to share your life. They make real companions. And they deserve a much better fate than you are willing to give them. So please take a second of your much longer lifetime and look in their eyes. They surely will allow you a glimpse into their souls. And please: begin to understand.... and please, don't send them to the racing-tracks in Spain again. Have a look on the fate of their galgos...
Season's Greetings and spare a thought

There aren't much worse places than Spain for the dogs.
